Overview of Graph-Based Keyword Extraction Methods

Abstract

Abstract: Keyword extraction is an important step in the application of natural language processing (NLP). Its purpose is to capture the main subject of a document. Keyword extraction is widely used in Information Retrieval, Text Mining, and Natural Language Processing. Among the keyword extraction methods, the recent research mainstream is graph-based keyword extraction methods. To this end, this article reviews graph-based keyword extraction methods, analyzes and compares various graph-based methods, provides guidance for future research, and encourages the development of new graph-based keyword extraction methods.
