Detecion of nirite by Nano-ZnO modified electrodes

Abstract: A simple and sensitive electrochemical analysis method for nirite detection based on electrochemical deposition nano-ZnO film on ITO electrodes was constructed. The ITO electrode modified by nano-ZnO was studied and characterized by electrochemical method. Under the optimum conditions, the differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) responses of ITO electrode modified by nano-ZnO toward NO2- was evaluated in a good linear range from 3.33×10-8 to 3.33×10-6 M, with a detection limit of 1.0×10-7 M at S/N=3. The prepared electrochemical method exhibited advantages of simple preparation, easy surface renewal, better reproducibility and satisfactory stability. This modified electrode can be successfully applied to the determination of NO2- in a real sample without complex pretreatment.
