Survey on the Current Situation of Using “Village Talk” in Sheqia Village, Luo Ping County, Yunnan Province

Abstract

Abstract: Village talk is a kind of processed Chinese dialects which is popular in rural area of Luoping County. This paper records and analyzes its background, scope of use, purpose of use and functions. The language has a “argot” function. With the development and transformation of society, village talk has been gradually withdrawing from history in rural areas and has been experiencing the process from mainstream to non-mainstream.
