Abstract: In the rural area,the Village Reading-room has being actively played an important role in the development of material civilization,political civilization and spiritual civilization as well as in the establishment of rural public cultural service system, while meeting the needs of cultural knowledge for the peasants and creating a literary atmosphere as well as promoting the construction of a harmonious society. With a practical research, and aiming at the questions of which the fewer sorage,slow updation,unreasonable structure,nonstandard management,fewer participation for the local university library in the construction of the village reading-room,this article has proposed some solutions on the sustainable development for the village reading-room,through which the ways of increasing capital investment,encouraging social donation,establishing a system of book circulation,actively participating by the local university library.
