Abstract: the economic cooperation between China and Myanmar is further deepening, the political mutual trust and bilateral relations between China and Myanmar have been strengthened significantly, the views and attitudes of the people of Burma on China’s investment are obviously improved, and the general feeling of disappointment to the western countries by the government and the people of Burma is the historical opportunity for the construction of the Sino-Burmese economic corridor. The threat posed by the Burmese conflict, the problem of the Rohingya people, the constraints of the transportation and power infrastructure, the interference of the extraterritorial forces and the attitude of the people of Burma are the main challenges facing the construction of the Sino-Burmese economic corridor. In order to promote the construction of China and Myanmar economic corridor, we should strengthen the understanding and research of Burma, take the construction of transportation and electric power infrastructure as an opportunity, to build the base for public opinion with people’s livelihood projects, to sum up the experience and lessons, and to achieve mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.
