The Cultural Foundation of the Primitive Folk Song Hua’er

Abstract: Hua’er is created by northwest people in certain natural and human environment by inheritance and selection. Hua’er, however, as a special regional symbol, demonstrates the peoples’ diversity and individuality. The formation, transmission and development of Hua’er are interpreted from the perspective of cultural ecology so that the cultural foundation of its sustainable development is offered.
