Abstract: Effectively protecting, inheriting and developing intangible cultural heritage is a heating topic both in the academic circle and in the political circle. Taking the intangible cultural heritage as a kind of sources to protect is an effective way for developing the culture industry. The long history, rich scholars and intangible cultural heritage of diverse varieties provide rich and valuable cultural sources for developing the cultural industry in Lijiang. The cultural industry in Lijiang now has developed into a situation of rich cultures, locality and taste of quality and it has achieved greatly both in the social efficiency and economic efficiency. Analyzing the theoretical basis for developing the cultural industry in Lijiang from the micro-prospective, the theoretical basis is Marxist “cultural productivity theory” and the theoretical source is Bourdieu Pierre's theory of cultural capital.
