Abstract: During the Liao, Song, Xia, and Jin dynasties, several regimes coexisted in multi-ethnic China. From the perspective of the diversified and integrated development of the Chinese nation, each regime actively promoted the development of social, economic, and cultural aspects within its own jurisdiction, gathering material and spiritual cultures for the establishment of a unified regime in the next historical period. The Jin Dynasty established the policy of Confucian governance in the process of regime construction and achieved multi-ethnic governance and cultural integration through the reform of the official selection system. Politically speaking, the implementation of the imperial examination system in the Jin Dynasty absorbed numerous Han Chinese intellectuals, promoting the integration of Confucian culture and classics from the Central Plains into the ruling system. From a historical and cultural perspective, the official selection system of the Jin Dynasty reflected recognition of the subjectivity of Chinese culture, becoming a historical practice of multi-ethnic political power sharing and developing Chinese civilization.
