Abstract: Rural areas are weak regions in China's industrial structure transformation and upgrading and common prosperity. At the same time, they are faced with multiple tasks such as promoting the modernization of agricultural industry and achieving common prosperity for farmers and rural areas. As an important form of change in China's rural production mode, industrial integration is closely related to the common prosperity of farmers and rural areas. Industrial integration is conducive to promoting farmers' employment and income increase, expanding the space for common prosperity, improving the breadth and depth of common prosperity by innovating agricultural industrialization models, enhancing the ability of rural collectives to increase income, and exerting “scale effect”, “absorption effect”, “spillover effect” and “driving effect”. In the face of institutional and mechanistic obstacles weakening the depth of rural industrial integration, poor connection of market systems affecting the value enhancement of industrial chains and the space for industrial integration, and the lagging supply system of rural infrastructure and public services weakening the support for industrial integration, promoting the common prosperity of farmers and rural areas through industrial integration should seek breakthroughs mainly from perfecting the factor guarantee mechanism for rural industrial integration and strengthening the institutional support for farmers to share the fruits of urban and rural development, constructing a high-level and multi-integrated industrial system and improving the industrial chain to comprehensively enhance the empowerment of rural industrial development for farmers' income increase, improving farmers' vocational skills and perfecting the industrial interest linkage mechanism to improve the efficiency of common prosperity for farmers and rural areas, and establishing and improving the supply system of rural infrastructure and public services to expand the sharing degree of common prosperity for farmers and rural areas.
