Abstract: Ecological civilization, both a product of human civilization at a certain historical stage and an inherent requirement for achieving Chinese-style modernization characterized by harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, represents a new stage in the development of industrial civilization, being crucial to the future destiny and sustainable development of nations and ethnic groups. Ecological civilization and modernization are integral components of the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Although they differ in nature, scope, and developmental trajectories, their guiding theories exhibit a profound coupling. This coupling is fundamentally rooted in the dialectical interaction between productive forces and ecological relations, manifesting in three dimensions: a social coupling from the reconciliation between humans and nature to their harmonious symbiosis, an economic coupling from natural productivity to environmental productivity, and a political coupling from critiques of capitalism to the institutional framework of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Key words: Chinese-style modernization, ecological civilization, theoretical logic
