New Era Connotation of High Quality Teacher Education System

Abstract: In the new era, the high-quality teacher education system has acquired new connotations, namely to closely align with the Party’s educational principles.To ensure the professional status of teacher education, we strengthen the professional identity of teacher educators, highlight the characteristics of new teachers, and train excellent teachers as the goal. And to promote educational development as the fundamental goal, and to achieve a steady improvement in the quality of education. Regarding the quality of talent cultivation, we aim for “first-class Party building to enhance the quality of talent cultivation”. In terms of faculty development, we implement the “Strengthening Teachers Plan to accelerate the modernization of the faculty”. With regards to teachers’ professional competence, we emphasize “pre-service and in-service training to enhance teachers’ professional competence”. In terms of professional identity, we increase “teachers' professional happiness, effectively deal with teachers' job burnout”. In the work style of teachers, paying attention to the construction of teachers' ethics and strengthen the international vision. In addressing educational conflicts, we solve “the main contradictions in education to promote the high-quality development of teacher education”.In short, the connotation of high-quality teacher education system in the new era should meet the needs of education development in the new era, and take training teachers with innovative spirit and practical ability as the focus to promote the sustainable development of teacher education.
