Abstract: Food safety is the first task among the rual security issues of rural revitalization. The current state of food safety in Qujing rural areas is worrying. The challenges of food safety lie in the lack of understanding of the strategic importance of food safety, insufficient grassroots regulatory forces, inadequate accountability, weak awareness among farmers about food safety and so on.To address this, the idea that food safety is the first battle in the rural revitalization strategy should be ensured. A research team to enhance professional regulatory capabilities should be established. Two responsibilities by leveraging high-quality training and the influence of role models should be strengthened. We should enhance food safety oversight in key rural areas and promote industrial transformation, striving to foster a shared and collaborative governance model for food safety, so we can win the opening battle for food safety, laying a solid foundation for the other four tasks and promoting the comprehensive revitalization of Qujing rural areas.
