Abstract: The level of teacher-student interaction in smart classrooms progressively advances through three levels: operational interaction, cognitive interaction, and creative interaction. In practical teaching, cognitive interaction, especially creative interaction, is relatively rare. Based on the research findings of the Flanders Interaction Analysis System (FIAS) and the Information Technology-Based Interaction Analysis System (ITIAS), combined with the functional characteristics of teacher-student interaction in smart classrooms, improvements have been made to the existing coding system, leading to the design of an analysis system for teacher-student interaction in smart classrooms. Using this system, a teaching video from a smart classroom was coded and analyzed. The research results indicate that this analysis system can accurately reflect the teacher-student interaction in the classroom, providing teachers with not only quantitative data on teacher-student interaction but also revealing patterns and trends of such interaction. Furthermore, the system aids teachers in identifying and improving instructional deficiencies, thereby promoting their professional development.
