Abstract: Industrial development is the fundamental support for the construction of provincial sub- central cities. Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and Government supports Qujing City in building a sub-central city, and making “high-level construction of an advanced manufacturing center” one of the key tasks of the construction of a sub-central city in Yunnan. Qujing has basically formed a modern manufacturing industry system led by green manufacturing, supported by high-quality enterprises, and characterized by emerging industries. However, there is still a significant gap between the benchmark construction goals and key tasks. Using the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry as a breakthrough and core engine is to accelerate the transformation of traditional industries, the strengthening of emerging industries, and the deployment of future industries, and the deep integration of green energy and green advanced manufacturing.
