Abstract: The Border Town written by Mr Shen Congwen is an outstanding novel,with some similarities compared to The Story of the Stone. The paper makes a survey into the similarities in the four aspects, prophecies of characters, family mysteries, everything nice but tragedies, sadness but no resentment. So The Border Town shows rich reflections of The Story of the Stone.
