A Tentative Study on English Majors’ Teaching Assessment Literacy Training Strategies in Normal Universities

Abstract: This paper targets at cultivating English majors’ teaching assessment literacy in Normal Universities. In order to figure out the problems and causes of such problems in the teaching assessment literacy training, the questionnaire and interviews are conducted respectively with 361 and 4 students as the selected samples. The results suggest that they have positive assessment attitude, insufficient assessment knowledge, and poor assessment abilities with seniors’ assessment literacy being better than juniors’ and girls’ better than boys’. Then some useful suggestions are put forward to promote the overall teaching assessment literacy of English majors in normal universities.
