Abstract: Under the influence of new media technology, the sense of place spreads from offline to online cyberspace, and embodies a new character and a different form. Based on the local Tik Tok short video of Qujing, from the perspective of video producers, this paper describes and explains the reasons for making such videos, the sources of video materials and the reproduction methods. From the perspective of receivers, this paper describes the representation of the sense of place in these videos, which are typically represented by “matter”, “dialect” and “taste”. In the process of “fight” between local and global, the formation of short video sense of place not only provides a source of “power” for generating new local meanings, but also becomes a new way to unite society.
