Abstract: Constructing virtual host based on hardware server for students’ convenience to install Linux network operating system and make use of services configuration is proposed based on the facts that most students’ hardware protecting card does not support Linux operating system backup and restore and does not benefit for students’ practice so that the traditional teaching method of simple command interpretation, practice and knowledge reserve will be changed. Constructing virtual host student teaching environment based on the hardware server to cultivate students practical abilities according to the teaching goal, compared with the traditional teaching student room environment, is more conducive to improve the students practical ability.
