Abstract: Originating in Huize County, Yunnan Province, the culture of copper business is one of the typical representatives of local culture in Yunnan. The culture germinated in the Shang Dynasty, inherited in the Han Dynasty, and flourished in the Qing Dynasty.The local cultural scholars in Huize have played an important role in the stage of local growth, and the stage of definition and development. In 2014, with the establishment of the China Institute of Copper Business Culture at Qujing Normal University, with the scholars of the research Institute as the core, the research Institute has done work such as deepening the research on copper business culture, reinterpreting copper business culture, and collating and publishing Four Books of Copper Policy in Yunnan, laying a solid foundation for further research on copper business culture. In general, there are still some problems in the research work, such as research imbalance, single research perspective and lack of systemic research, which needs to be solved in the future research.
