Abstract: The administrative burden caused by formalism and bureaucracy is an urgent problem to be solved at the grassroots level, and the research on grassroots burden reduction in China is visually analyzed with the help of CiteSpace. The results show that the research on grassroots burden reduction has increased from year by year to a flat trend, the cooperation of high-yield authors is not close enough, the cooperation group has not yet been truly formed, and that the research institutions have regional differences.The research hotspots focus on the dimensions of “formalism” and “grassroots burden”.In the initial stage, the research focuses on the interpretation of the theoretical value of grassroots burden reduction, the development stage focuses on the analysis of the practical mechanism, and the deepening stage focuses on the model refinement combining theory and practice.Based on this, the research on grassroots burden reduction should continue to deepen the exploration and form a holistic academic group.The research needs to shift from static phenomenon description to dynamic mechanism explanation, from macro theoretical evaluation to micro practical exploration, and from fragmented case analysis to systematic theoretical construction, in order to provide a useful reference for theoretical innovation and practical improvement of grassroots burden reduction.
