Abstract: Some of the Yi literature belonging to economic literature has not been paid due attention by scholars. Six land transaction contracts of the Republic of China inherited and collected by Zhang Xingjia in Nayong Ganlike Village, Maoshan Town, Luquan County, have been studied through comparison and confirmation of the tax system, monetary regulations and social forms with these contracts to find that the contracts have standardized format, diversified monetary units, and complicated tax names. In a word, these contract documents reflect the regional characteristics and folk trade habits of this area in the period of the Republic of China, thus reproducing the social and economic life of Luquan area in the period of the Republic of China.
