Abstract: In the process of leading the Russian Revolution and building a new type of proletarian party, Lenin put forward a series of original ideas regarding what proletarian party discipline is and how to strengthen the construction of proletarian party discipline, thus forming Lenin's thoughts on the construction of proletarian party discipline. Lenin's “The Infantile Disease of the ‘Left’ in the Communist Movement” is a seminal work on the discipline construction of the proletarian party. Through the analysis of classic texts and the restoration of historical context,this article systematically examines the logic of Lenin's criticism of the erroneous ideas of the “left” and right within the Communist Party of the Soviet Union,and elaborates on its theoretical connotations concerning the purpose of party discipline construction, the essential attributes of discipline,and the maintenance mechanism of discipline. Combined with the practical innovation of the Communist Party of China in promoting comprehensive and strict Party governance in the new era,this paper deeply explains the theoretical extension and practical vitality of Lenin's thought on party discipline in the contemporary era,reveals its inherent compatibility with the governance philosophy of the Communist Party of China,and illuminates the path of creative transformation and innovative development of Marxist party discipline theory in China in the 21st century,thereby providing academic support for the in-depth promotion of comprehensive and strict Party governance.
