Abstract: The Song of Youth is considered as a special text in the Red literature of“seventeen years”. The novel has polyphonic meaning from the explicit text level, it is a proud expression of the revolutionary growth and spiritual liberation of modern intellectuals; and at the level of implicit text, an implied thesis is the fate of Chinese intellectuals and individual women in the 20th, which has consequently reached a spiritual connection with the enlightenment theme of New Literature since the May 4th Movement. The classicality of The Song of Youth lies in that it is a metaphor of the fate of individual women and intellectuals in modern China with a female image constantly pursuing growth, which still has strong ideological enlightenment significance and value for the life choice of young people and young intellectuals.
