Abstract: The funeral is an important cultural phenomenon in human society etiquette and customs, with the advance of social development and ecological civilization construction of our country, the funeral governance is becoming a hot issue. According to the development requirements of national governance modernization and ecological civilization construction, green funeral, economical land using, and civilized mourning have become the new requirements for funeral treatment. Taking the funeral management of Mangshi in Yunnan Province on the Sino-Burmese border as a case, the analysis and research on the local funeral treatment process and the dilemma are helpful to provide direction and reference for the optimization of the funeral management path in border areas.
