Abstract: Sci-tech Guochao short videos have become a significant media force in strengthening Chinese national community consciousness among adolescents. Empirical research shows that factors like viewing duration, age, grade, ethnicity, gender, and video content attributes significantly influence adolescents' cognitive, affective, and behavioral dimensions of Chinese national community consciousness, with significant positive correlations among these three dimensions. Sci-tech Guochao short videos activate collective memory through historical narratives and technological achievements, forming an identity construction mechanism based on collective memory, stimulating emotional resonance through symbolic resources such as images, language, and music, forming an emotional mobilization mechanism based on affective communities, and promoting the externalization of identity through interactive communication and participatory practices, forming a behavioral participation mechanism based on communities of practice. the effectiveness of sci-tech Guochao short videos in strengthening Chinese national community consciousness can be enhanced by adopting measures including establishing a high-frequency push mechanism to increase sustained viewing engagement, embedding distinctive cultural elements to diversify content, fostering bidirectional interaction between schools and media to advance community-oriented education, and promoting multi-stakeholder collaborative governance to build a shared communication ecosystem for identity formation.
