Abstract: Li Juan's “Sheep Path” series, an important representative work of the trend of nonfiction writing since the new century, shows the characters and customs of the border herdsmen, as well as the living conditions of the animals in the borderland. Daily life, as an important creative method, narrows the distance between the borderland and the central and eastern regions, breaks the gap between readers and the borderland, represents a modest and sincere writing attitude, and is a way to reach the truth. Behind the description of daily life in the borderland, Li Juan deeply reflects on the fate of people and nature in the process of modernization.
