Abstract: This paper systematically combs the distribution of social organizations in Yunnan Province,then four variables, population, economy, higher education and government's attention, are selected to investigate the reasons that affect the distribution of social organizations in Yunnan Province. Through comparative analysis, the distribution of social organizations is positively correlated with four variables. However, the distribution of social organizations in various prefectures shows a serious imbalance.At the same time, the overall management of social organizations is lagging behind. And this paper suggest that we should pay more attention to the development of private non enterprise units.
