摘要： 法国华裔作家程抱一的小说《天一言》从不同的侧面,展现了主人公在面对命运、生死、爱情等人生境遇时的无奈、迷茫、困惑、孤独以及破碎感和压抑感。社会的荒诞面孔和小说人物的荒诞命运中折射出人对荒诞的抗争、对自由的向往,以及对完美人性和本真生活的追求。《天一言》中的荒诞寓意,诚如著名哲学家阿多诺所说,人类的生存状态是绝望的,而绝望就是希望。在荒诞作为无可奈何存在的现象中,《天一言》隐喻的也是这样一种无望的希望。

Abstract: The novel Le dit de Tianyi, written by the Chinese-French writer Francois Cheng, reveals the protagonist’s helplessness, confusion, perplexity, lonliness as well as a sense of frustration and depression when confronted such life circumstances as destiny, death and desired love. The novel displays Man’s defiance of absurdity and yearning for freedom, including the pursuit of perfect humanity and the true state of being a “Man”. As Theodor Adorno put it, human lives in a state of despair, yet despair is hope. Now that absurdity is unavoidably in existence, hope will be born out of despair, as the novel metaphorically illuminates.
