Abstract: The conception of the South Panjiang River Green Economic Zone was put forward after a conscientious study on Chairman Xi Jinping’s speech.It is a practice to actively respond to national development strategy and industriously implement the “Five Development Ideas”.The idea is to built South Panjiang River belt into an ecological civilization demonstration zone, a characteristic modern agricultural demonstration zone, a biological resources processing demonstration zone, a global tourism innovation demonstration zone, a new urbanization demonstration zone, a national unity and progress demonstration zone so as to form a spanning development zones in Yunnan Province. In order to realize this strategic conception, measures such as high promotion, high starting point planning, high strength linkage, whole basin cooperation, all-round opening and comprehensive innovation drive should be taken.
