Abstract: Through the literature review methods and logical analysis, this paper elucidates the fundamental characteristics and institutional guarantees of sports modernization in Yunnan by delving into the practical foundations of sports modernization in the region.The key elements of sports modernization in Yunnan encompass universality, comprehensiveness, tradition, harmony, and overallness, ultimately advancing human modernization through sports education. Institutional assurances for sports modernization in Yunnan should primarily focus on exploring the establishment of a three-dimensional sports development framework known as “point-line-area-circle ” concept in Yunnan, integrating sports functions within the context of new international relations, and utilizing sports as a means to enhance cultural identity. By examining modern sports function reconstruction, value diversity, model innovation, and geographical advantages, a comprehensive and multi-dimensional practical foundation for sports modernization in Yunnan is established, contributing to the enrichment of Chinese-style modernization theory and practice.
