Abstract: The definition of Nanling Ethnic Corridor from the perspective of ethnic economics should adhere to the principle of corridor integrity. On the one hand, it should refer to the definition of Nanling Mountain Area in the field of physical geography, and also follow the general paradigm of Ethnology and cultural anthropology, that is, fully consider the factors such as history, culture and ethnic group flow in the corridor area; on the other hand, the economic space of Nanling Ethnic Corridor should be fully considered. The inter regional characteristics are conducive to the coordinated development of ethnic groups and regions in the corridor, and the integrity of the administrative region is taken into account. Under the spatial definition of "core area + radiation area", Nanling Ethnic Corridor has a unique strategic location from the domestic and international perspectives. It is not only an important corridor connecting the southwest and Southeast, the Yangtze River and the Pearl River, but also the starting area for the construction of the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road".
